Pennsylvania Coverlet

Another piece of fine artwork I could not resist! This charming coverlet dates from the mid 19th century I would guess. It is in good condition with some tatter along the edges and some thin spots too. There is a spot where the center seam needs to be sewn. However its color and Pennsylvania motifs far outweigh these aspects. It measures 72" by 86".

I will be happy to send more pictures to anyone who is interested.

Bail Handled Firkin

I think this is a great find. This as found slate blue firkin does have some variations in color. Looking carefully you can see it on the top. It is in good condition and is a wonderful size and color for anyone who is building a stack. It measures just under 8" high, 7 1/4" across the top, and slightly more than 8" across the bottom.

Knife Box

I do believe this is an older box judging from the unpainted bottom. As you can see it does have a wonderful form with its canted sides. I expect it is a newer paint but such a wonderful worn pewter color makes it hard to resist. It measures 11" by 7 1/2" at the base and approximately 10" by 12' at the top. To the top of the handle is 8".

Vintage Basket

Fell in love with this unique vintage basket. Charming as is but I am sure the clever amongst us could think of numerous decorating possibilities. It measures 13" by 8" and is in excellent condition.

Alkin Hunt Print

After doing a bit of research, I do think this picture is a special find. Dating from the mid 19th century, it is from a series of hand colored lithographs by English artist A. Alkin. At the top it says "Hunting Incidents" with "Pl 4" in the upper right. The title underneath the picture says "Taking It Cleverly". with his name printed in the lower left. It is nicely framed and overall measures 17" by 20".

German ABC Plate

Another child's plate. Warned you in the past that I love them. This too is German with the alphabet around the rim. It is in very good condition and it measures about 6 1/4" in diameter.

Coverlet Piece

Isn't this the most handsome coverlet piece you have ever seen. The edges on the ends are hemmed and there is some wear but the pattern is exquisite. What a wonderful table runner it would make. It measures 23" by 42".
