This section is a work in progress. For those of you who have looked over this site, you may have noticed that besides old homes, old things, and charming accents I have a particular fondness for kitties. Here is where I will feature cat related items for those who share the same passion. And if you are really interested I invite you to visit a place via the web where I volunteer. I enjoy the opportunity to help out twice a week. I find it a great stress reducer as I enjoy all those cute little furry faces! Here are two of the sanctuary residents, Oliver and Portia. Cat Plaque or Garden Stone

Another wonderful piece from Janet. This plaque can be hung inside or out. Its inscription reads, "The wolf shall dwell with the lamb and the leopard lie down with the kid. and a little child shall lead them." What a great gift. This sculpture is made of cement and measures 14 1/2" by almost 6". It is about 3/4" thick.

Sanctuary Cats Writing Journal

Becca, a volunteer at Habitat for Cats, created this writing journal. Besides picturing some of the cats living at the sanctuary, there are numerous pages for musing and doodling. A perfect gift for the cat lover with all proceeds benefitting Habitat for Cats.

One can never have too many cookbooks. This book is dedicated to homeless cats and kittens whether they are lost, abandoned, stray, or feral. Beeswax Mouse

What's a cat page without a mouse! Yes it is the mouse that is for sale here. Not ready to part with the cookie cutter nor do I have a resupply source. Anyway this delightful mouse is made of a wonderfully scented beeswax. He measures about 3 1/2" high by slightly more than 1" wide. Very cute and when you get tired of him you can melt him in your tart warmer and scent the room!? He comes packed to travel!

Cat Notes for the Cat Lover

I fell in love with these note cards when I first found them. Drawings are wonderful and sentiments underneath are perfect. They are blank inside and measure 5 1/2" by 7 1/2". Of course envelopes are included. The background color of the front of the card varies somewhat but is an ivory tone which is not best represented in the pictures.

Top left card - If cats could talk they wouldn't. Top right card - Dogs come when they are called. Cats take a message and get back to you. And the bottom - Thousands of years ago cats were worshipped as gods. Cats have never forgotten this.

Top left card - There are few things in life more heartwarming than being welcomed home by a cat. Top right card - Some people say that cats are sneaky, evil and cruel. True, and they have many other fine qualities too. And the bottom - One cat leads to another. Hope after reading this you are laughing yourself silly or at least shaking your head in agreement with a smile! All are quotes from various people well known and otherwise.
