This is not a period piece and is incised DAVIS on the bottom of the top. As you can see someone painted it an attractive buttermilk with a patterned paper across the center of the top. As such it does look nice as a garden/porch piece. My plan is to eventually redo it as it will look fabulous returned to its original look.
